Where words
outlive the wound.
The digital home of Vincent Poe — a modern literary voice on resilience, memory, and hope. Poetry, journals, essays, and the work that came before. All free to read.
Where to begin
"This book is not a performance. It's a record."
A poetic PTSD processing record. Five acts — Spark, Heat, Break, Edge, Arrival — written in real time, in real places. Trauma translated to the page instead of the room.
Writing
beyond survival.
I don't write to perform. I write because the alternative — silence — was costing more than honesty ever has. Every poem on this site started as a private survival document and stayed because someone else, somewhere, needed to read it too.
The work is confessional but not careless. It's gothic but not theatrical. It treats memory like an artifact and the page like a witness. If a line lands for you, it's because it landed for me first, and I chose not to soften it.
"Every scar has a story. This is where the stories outlive the wound."
"Always carry thy self with a purpose
even if the burdens are destroying your soul.
The heartache will come too end.
I promise."
